Accounts receivable and payable
Accounts receivable is the money clients owe you; Accounts payable are your expenses (thread, fabric, electricity, rent…). Both screens work the same way.
Enter a bill
- Open Accounts receivable or Accounts payable and click New receivable / New bill to pay.
- Fill in Description, Amount and Due date.
- Choose the Category (there are suggestions such as Order, Thread and notions, Electricity, Rent) and the Client (receivable) or Supplier (payable).
- If the money already came in or went out, check Already received / Already paid and enter the date and the Payment method.
- For fixed expenses or installments, use Repeat monthly and say how many times (up to 36). The system creates one bill per month, with "(1/12)", "(2/12)"…
- Click Save.
Mark as paid
In the list, click Mark received or Mark paid: the bill is marked paid with today’s date. If you clicked by mistake, use Undo. For another date, open the bill and change the payment date.
Filters and totals
- Tabs Open, Overdue, Received / Paid and All.
- Filter by due month (or All months) and search by description, category, client or supplier.
- At the top, the totals: open, overdue and already received/paid (in the chosen month).
- Each bill shows its status: open, Due today, overdue for X days, received or paid.
Tips
- Bills created from an order show its name and are linked to the client.
- Amounts are shown in the currency chosen in My account.
Common problems
It says "Enter an amount greater than zero".
Type the amount with a decimal point for cents (for example, 150.00). Don’t leave the field empty.
I repeated a bill 12 times by mistake.
Use the search to find the installments and delete the ones you don’t want, one by one, via Edit → Delete.
