Financial dashboard
The Financial dashboard shows on one screen how your business is doing: what came in, what went out, what’s left to receive and pay, and how orders are going.
For the dashboard to have numbers
It uses what you enter in Orders, Accounts receivable and payable and Clients. When everything is empty, a notice shows links to get started.
Choose the period
At the top, choose This month, Last month, Last 3 months or This year. Period amounts count by the date each bill was paid or received.
What each box shows
- Money in (received) and Money out (paid) for the period, compared with the previous period.
- Profit for the period (or loss) and the margin on what came in.
- Open amounts To receive and To pay, with how much is already overdue.
- Next 30 days: how much should come in and go out.
- Orders in progress by stage, late ones, delivered in the period and the Average order value.
- Money in and out chart for the last 12 months (with View as table).
- Where the money went: expenses by category.
- Top clients this period and Due in the next 15 days.
Tips
- Mark bills as received or paid on the day the money actually came in or went out: that’s what feeds the dashboard.
- Link receivables to clients so the top clients box works.
