Colors and stitching order
The order of the objects is the order the machine stitches them in. Organizing colors and order avoids unnecessary thread changes and trims.
Change the thread color
- Select the object (or several).
- In the Thread palette below the drawing area, click the color you want.
- For a color that isn’t in the palette, click Other color and pick it in the color picker.
Tip: The color is for previewing and for separating thread changes in the file. At the machine, use the real thread closest to it.
Change the stitching order
The Objects, in stitching order list shows everything in the design, from top (stitched first) to bottom. Select an object and use:
- Earlier and Later: move the object up or down in the order.
- Duplicate (Ctrl+D) and Delete (Delete).
- To stitches: converts to fixed stitches. See Drawing tools.
Group objects
Select several objects and use Group (Ctrl+G) in the top bar: they’ll be selected together. Ungroup is Ctrl+Shift+G. Imported designs arrive grouped.
Simulate the stitching
- In the footer, click Simulate.
- Choose the Speed: 1× (machine) matches a regular machine (800 stitches per minute).
- Drag the bar to move back and forth in the simulation.
Next to it you’ll see the estimated stitching time at 800 stitches per minute.
Tips
- Keep objects of the same color in sequence: every color change is a machine stop.
- Turn on Jumps and trims (C key) under View to see where the thread will jump or be trimmed.
