Viewer: see in 3D and convert files
The Viewer opens finished embroidery files so you can check how they’ll look, see the measurements and convert them to another format. The file is opened on your computer and isn’t uploaded anywhere.
Open a file
- In the menu, click Viewer.
- Click Open file or drag a DST, PES or JEF file onto the screen.
What it shows
- Size in millimeters, Stitches, Colors, Stops, Trims, Jumps and Thread used (in meters).
- Threads, in stitching order: each color change with its spool. Click the spool to change the color.
- View: 3D thread (T), Needle holes, when zoomed in (.), Jumps and 10 mm grid.
- Fabric color: changes the background to check the contrast.
Simulate the stitching
In the footer, click Simulate and choose Slow, Normal or Fast. Drag the bar to jump to any point of the design.
Convert
- With the file open, change the colors if you like.
- Under Save as, click DST, PES, JEF or SVG (image).
Common problems
It says only DST, PES and JEF files can be read for now.
The viewer reads those three formats. To open a .bordado file, use the editor.
The file opened without colors.
That’s normal for DST, which doesn’t store colors. Click each thread’s spool and pick the color.
